It's been a really depressing week. Most of it's personal, but man do I need some fun and/or good news.
I don't even feel like writing, but I probably owe it to my readers to post something every now and then.
Happy Belated Birthday Daniel and Lorraine.
Aww geez...
I'm really listless right now.

This update brought to you by... Tide! Stay Clean, Stay Fresh!

I've been working like a dog for the past few weeks, and it's finally catching up with me. I'm exhausted! I've been working split shifts almost every night (save for Sunday, and today). Apparently downtown is suffering greatly, as no one is eating at restaurants as much as last year. I've been working twice as hard than at Jack's, and am making less money. But it isn't much better elsewhere right now.

On a good note, I bought a new keyboard that has a "laptop feel" to it. The buttons are slim, and wide, just like you'd see on most notebooks. It's great!!!! The thin (Virtually Indestructable Keyboard) keyboard I once used wasn't working properly so I bought this awesome new one. The VIK was annoying to type on anyway. The only downside so far to this new one is that the "backspace" button is a little smaller to make room for the "home" key. So sometimes when I make a mistake and need to back up, I accidentally return to the beginning of the line. Kind'a annoying. Guess I'd better not mess up then.

I've taken up writing again. During my (sometimes three hour) spares I whip out Gabrielle (I named my notebook) and attempt to progress my story. Don't ask, I'm not telling anyone what it's about. Oooooh that's right, I'm being all secretive. Whatever. If I end up publishing it in ten years, you'll find out what I was writing about.

I need a new Tide Pen.

I've moved on to the fourth Harry Potter novel (The Goblet of Fire), and so far so good. Actually, it doesn't have a sense of urgency like the last one did (Prisoner of Azkaban). Harry never seems in real danger, nor is there a definite plot. All that's happened out of the ordinary is Harry's name mysteriously being entered into a tournament held between three wizarding schools. At least in the last book there was always a point where Harry was in danger of being killed by the escaped prisoner of Azkaban. Well, if this novel is anything like the movie, the ending should be more promising. Bee tells me the story really opens up in the next two books.

The Brasserie: Max Check

Snarl say: Where Grimlock? You know those awesome bills we'd rarely get, that we like to show off to each other? Once in a while we'd gloat about getting tipped 40 bucks (or backs, for those who prefer it). Well, there isn't too many people there I feel comfortable gloating to yet, so here we go... I just had this amazing bill today during a lunch patio shift. It was 4 City TV big wigs (2 guys, two gals), and they began with a $55 bottle of white wine. After eating, they asked for another bottle, followed by another. They finally decided on Cafe Latte's and Grand Marnier as an aparatif. After 11 of those (3 hours later) they asked for their bill. By this point I was on 2 hours after the OTLE, but the bosses didn't miond since their bill was quite high. Actually, the Brasserie is quite laid back. I thought I was going to be in trouble for staying on so long, but they didn't seem to mind. I even sat there for the better part of it, and ate my lunch! Getting back on topic, I was thinking of auto-gratting the bill, but decided to roll the dice. In the end, they left me $60!!! Holy Crap!!! I barely kept from dancing a gay routine in the dining room (c'mon, you would too)!
I tipped 'em fourty 'Backs!'
