Sing Me A Lil' Diddy J!

Holy artistic-creativeness day Batman!
I've been having a good lyrics day. I worked on the second draft to my musical today, and I completed a few songs that I've been writing, but putting off completing.

~Deeper Shades of Grey~
~Heart Glue~
~In Another Dimension~
~This Applies To You~

Just a Couple of new Updates...

I'm currently listening to "Stranger Things Have Happened" by The Foo Fighters. Good tune.

Some boring admin stuff...
1.0 I added a scrolling button screen to the top of my blog sites for easy access. If you don't like them hovering there, threatening you and following you wherever you go, just press the red X-button on the left hand side of the bar, and it'll go away... for now.

2.0 I've added a button for my friend Signe Ronka's website. She's a sk8r!

2.1 I've added a button for the Maps of Meaning website -- if you are serious about improving your life, maybe looking at the world with a different pair of eyes, or you're looking for a unified theory of everything... this site is for you!!!! His first lecture is free to watch online. I bought his complete DVD collection, and I love everything that he says.

3.0 The old domain name for "My Art" used to be "http://notallcorwin.blogspot.com/" with an "i" in Corwin. A few years back I changed the spelling of Corwin (the planet in which my novels take place) to Corwyn, and until now I forgot to modify the domain name to accommodate for the new spelling. "My Art" can now be reached at "http://notallcorwyn.blogspot.com/".

4.0 I fixed the blog buttons in the "buttons" section so that they no longer open up in a new window like the non-blog buttons do.

Thanks for reading -- you can wake up now.

A Spy In Isengard & The Flash

While killing some time yesterday -- waiting for a sushi order to be made -- I decided to browse the used bookstore shelves for possible gems, and guess what I found...
Besides the final book to my Incarnations of Immortality collection by Piers Anthony...
And besides a beautifully illustrated soft-cover edition of Perfume, by Peter Suskind...

I found a choose-your-own-adventure book that takes place in Middle Earth: The Lord of the Rings world!!! Yeah, nerdy right? But there it was... a book that allowed you to actually participate in Tolkien's world. Apparently there are several of these books out there, where you have a character-sheet (given inside, with instructions on how to "play" the book), and you fight monsters and creatures while trying to solve the puzzles within the novel. Of course I've heard of choose-your-own-adventure books before, but a Middle Earth one? Coooooool. I read it yesterday and this evening (in between chapters of the book I'm supposed to be reading for school), and I came {this close} to dying before I got through it. An orc almost took my head off while trying to escape the Isengard tower. The book was authored by Terry K. Amthor, but the cover design was illustrated by Richard H. Britton, which -- for some reason I recalled -- was used again in the collectible card game called Middle Earth...

You Shall Not Pass!

Anyhow... I've decided to add the book to my "Books I've Read" list, just to lengthen it (not that everything I've read is up there). Now I can't wait for my Canadian Fiction class to end, so I can read for leisure again and pick up Perfume.

I've officially started work at Milestone's, and I'm actually really excited to work there. The Loose Moose was just dragging me down, lower than I've ever been in my life. That's right, I no longer work there. They actually came up with some completely bogus reasons to fire me, and fired me! At least I get Termination Pay for eight weeks, Severance Pay for nine weeks, a crazy amount of Vacation Pay, and my benefits last for eight more weeks! And to think that they didn't even have to come up with an excuse to get rid of one of the dudes on the bar so they could hire a hot chick ('cause that's exactly what they did); they could have simply offered me the term/sev pay package and asked me to be on my way. Dumb-asses! Anyway, other than missing the staff like crazy, I'm supremely glad to be out of there and into a place that actually has good food and service... and is busy!

Still on the hunt for new roommates... my girls are leaving on a jet plane, and won't be coming back again. Craigslist! Now interviewing mature students and graduates!

Oh yeah... I (finally) added a new entry into the Science of Superheroes section of my blog, featuring The Flash's Super Speed!!!! Check it out!
